October 12, 20205 yr Hello, I have built a new system to upgrade to P3D v5. I have an I9-10850 CPU, 32 GB of DDR4-4000 memory a combination of Nvme and SSD drives. The idea was to paired it with a RTX 3090 card once it was available during September. As it stands it look like it is going to be quite a while until I can get one of them. Currently I have three 2k monitors connected to a GTX 1080 Ti 11GB,with surround enabled within Nvidia. (7680 x 1440) I have another video card available it is a Radeon RX 580 with 8GB, is there any way that I can use that card to improve the graphics performance? Before I had my GTX 1080 ti paired with a 4790K cpu, and they were quite balanced in load. Now with the i9-10850 the one struggling is the 1080 Ti card. I guess that I cannot use surround for the monitors if they are connected two two different cards the Nvidea and the Radeon Is there any way I can improve performance using those 2 cards until the 3090 is available? Thanks Juan
October 12, 20205 yr You certainly can't combine the two cards for a single virtual monitor, so surround is out of the question. You might use one card for 2 monitors, and the other for the third monitor though.
