Hello @ll,

version 1.73 has been deployed to the shops today.

  • Redesigned the layout of the assignment dialogs to make it clearer which input field is currently active
  • Fixed bug where the axis would move slightly in the opposite direction when using curve and deadzone together
  • Fixed the bug where the flaps detents box was partially obscured
  • Fixed the instances where a split axis must be handled as a slider when applying a curve (MSFS: toe brakes, throttle, propeller, mixture)
  • Keyboard and MIDI combos can be used with axis too
  • Expanded RPN scripting and gauge logic

Please make sure to visit axisandohs.weebly.com/downloads to get the new advanced gauges like the Airbus type PFD and MFD

Thank you very much for all the updates on your wonderful program. I've been using FSUIPC since version 4, but only use it for the GPSOUT function now. I've did a project in the past with MIDI controllers and joystick commands but your program makes it way easier to set it up. Thank you also for all the updates you've released in the past weeks!

I would like to give some feedback/feature requests if I may..

-Is it possible to add some sort of grouping function within the Axis and Buttons listings? I have a profile now with almost 50 different commands and it's difficult to find some of them. For Example AUTOPILOT>....   ESSENTIALS>.... AVIONICS>....  COMM>.... So that I can assign certain functions to a group? I know it's possible to rename the commands but this way its perhaps a bit easier to setup. And makes the interface less cluttered.
-I like the green status light when a button is pressed. Is it possible to take this function a bit further and highlight and select the assigned command when pressing the corresponding button on the device? So that one can quickly find the command a key is bound to instead of scrolling through all the commands looking for a green flashing light?

Hi,

Not sure about the grouping, that may be difficult to implement. As a general rule I try to stick to the default assets of the framework, to save as much performance as possible. The GUI is connected "live" to what you are doing with the controllers (unless it is minimized) so I try to keep things simple - as not to compromise the axis pickup.

Sure, that would be possible, but there are performance considerations again. There is a lot of scrolling around involved to get the active control into view, that will have a cost attached. It would be imperative to minimize the app when you are not assigning buttons, otherwise the performance draw might be impairing the axis controls.

I will have to think about those for a while, see if there is a viable solution that works for everyone.

Best regards

Thank you very much for your quick response!

Regarding the grouping function. Perhaps it's possible to have a simple option to sort the assigned commands alphabetically or by button assignment (MIDI: 1 CHN: 1 EVT: 1, MIDI: 1 CHN: 1 EVT: 2, MIDI: 1 CHN: 2 EVT: 1 etc).
And regarding finding a activated command, perhaps it's possible in a separate 'Overview' Form that lists all the assigned functions in a greater overview which need to be closed again for the application to resume it's 'live' function.

On the other hand if you have a working setup you don't have to mess with the profile anymore. 🙂 If you want I can help you test it.

to sort the assigned commands

If you add custom labels, the controls list should be sorted by those. So by using specific prefixes in your labels, you could force a certain way of sorting (and group them at the same time)?

The "find control" thing would have to be optional and unintrusive at the same time. We'll see.

Best regards

Yes thanks that works very well!
