November 8, 200619 yr Infinite possibilities with FSX--here's one: download the FSX GR7--go to just about any airport in Nepal (you've got VTOL capability) and enjoy the most amazing scenery (pic below)...for an added challenge, vertically land on the summit of Mt Everest...open the canopy...and enjoy the view from over 29000' (why not, you still have an oxygen mask on : )Rake
November 8, 200619 yr Amazing picture! I have always loved the "sandbox" feel of the game. You can do whatever you want, with whatever you want, however you want. I am enthusiastic about FSX, and to date it is my favorite flight sim. I have already logged more hours in the last month with FSX than I ever did with any prior version.
November 8, 200619 yr > download the FSX>GR7Where can I download the GR7? I couldn't find it in the Avsim library...Many thanks.Best regards, Chris
November 8, 200619 yr I downloaded from flightsim.comhttp://www.flightsim.com/cgi/kds?p7zad00A=fsx/new112.htmRead installation notes carefully--I fly in VC mode--it comes with a 2D cockpit as well. Can enter/exit VTOL mode through flap settings.Lots of fun--still waiting for Kirk Olsson's USVIPER FSX version.Rake
November 8, 200619 yr Author > Can enter/exit VTOL mode through flap settings.>Aha!! So THAT'S how they did the FDE. It's probably a gauge-based VTOL then. If it's true VTOL it has to be. Otherwise they've used monkey-ed flaps settings, which gives STOL but not VTOL.RhettAMD 3700+ (@2.5 ghz), eVGA 7800GT 256 (94.47), ASUS A8N-E, PC Power 510 SLI, 2 GB Corsair XMS 3-3-3-8, WD 250 gig 7200 rpm SATA2, CoolerMaster Praetorian Rhett 7800X3D ♣ 96 GB G.Skill Flare ♣ Gigabyte 4090 ♣ Crucial P5 Plus 2TB
