Reporting bugs via Zendesk - A suggestion

Featured Replies

I'm sure some of you already know this, but for the rest of you, here's a suggestion if you are going to report a bug via Zendesk.

As has been seen here and over at the MSFS forums, some bugs only affect some people, while others do not see the bug at all. This usually comes down to differences in hardware and/or OS settings. And occasionally due to where MSFS was purchased (MS Store, Steam, Xbox game pass...)

For the hardware/OS differences, it would really help the folks at Asobo if they knew what your hardware/OS setup is.

To help them out, you might want to use this program: https://www.ccleaner.com/speccy. The free version will do nicely. It will scan your system and generate a lengthy report with all your hardware and important OS settings. The report can be saved as a text file which can then be attached to the Zendesk report (scroll to the bottom and you'll see a section to attach files).

If everyone reporting a bug via Zendesk included this report, we might just see bugs fixed a bit faster. Or where it is not a bug but an issue with the hardware/OS, a solution may be communicated to the affected people.

As mentioned, it's just a suggestion.
