GTX1080 vs RTX2080 - P3D v5

Recommended Posts

Hi,

Currently looking at purchasing a PC exclusively for flight sim. At the moment it will be for flying the FSLabs airbus series in P3D V5, with the obvious upgrade to FS2020 at some point in the near future. I'll be running P3D on a single monitor at 1024x1024.

I'll be getting the 10700K, but I'm stuck deciding between the 1080ti, 2080s and 2080ti. What does everyone think? I've heard that the benefit from the 1080ti to the 2080ti is marginal in P3D, and the price difference is huge...

Thanks,

Oliver Mitchell.

1024 x 1024?  Square monitor?

Why would you not go for a RTX3080?  Newer, faster, priced better.

1920x1080* is what I meant 🤣 I am very tired...

And because it is outside of my budget 😞

Double check pricing.  2080 vs 3080.  You might be surprised.
