Poor Looking Snow Textures

Featured Replies

Hi, Just an observation here on the quality of snow textures. On my 2 year old machine, most of the time the ground textures have been satisfactory as most of my flying has been over snow-free ground.Today I took off from Anchorage International and flew over the snow covered mountains and was really disappointed in how the scenery looked. In short, not real at all. The snow didn't look real and and was somewhat pixelated. Looked as though I had zoomed in really close. This was while flying at 10,000 ft. I even put all sliders full right and this still didn't help. The snow scenery in FS9 looks better IMHO.Has anybody else noticed this or is it possibly my system? My video card (which I plan to replace soon) is an ATI 9800 Pro.Thanks for any comments on this.Jim
