Still could not make any progress in logging in to ms2020. Finally decided not to fight it anymore so I removed ms2020 from my puter. Haven't used it much anyhow since I only use ms2024 for my flying. Thanks for all your help. Jim

Thanks for the guidance. Before I try your suggestion, is there a way to enlarge the box? It's hard on my old eyes to read the extremly small letters. Jim

I normally fly MS2024. I still have MS2020 on my computer and decided to get into it and do some comparsions, but I can't access it. During start up an XBOX box pops up saying "Lets get you signed in". I hit the sign in button which then gives me several options - "Email or phone number" - "forgot your user name?". etc. Problem is nothing I click on works. Can't select any thing to get in the program. Any advice would be appriciated. Jim

When I try to open ms2020 or 2024 A XBOX box shows up saying "Let's get you signed in". When I try to sign in it gives the option to use E-mail, phone, or skype. The problem is that there is no blinking cursor so I cant select "email" or anything . When I go to my XBOX app, it shows that it is open so I guess they mean my Microsoft account. Don't know how to tie it all together - how to access my Microsoft account to work as part of the sign in. Hope I've made it clear enough, but I'm old with fewer brain cells. Thanks for any guidance. Was climbing out at not too steep an angle when for some reason the stick shaker kicked in. Airspeed was good and even after reaching altitude it kept shaking. Didn't know how to get it to stop. This is the first time I've flown it in P3D. Never had it happen in FSX. Any ideas? Thanks. Jim

I have a question concerning the Flight1 Mustang install procedure for P3D. During the install process I have to check to install in FSX or FSX Steam. There is no selection for P3D. Anyone know how to get around this little problem? Thanks. Jim

So in other words, when I calibrate my controls within FSX I am actually using Simconnect? I normally use FSUIPC for that purpose but when Eaglesoft updated their Citation X they state that FSUIPC was not to be used. Must use Simconnect. Maybe I'm just making this more complicated than it is. Jim

Hi All, When It comes to simconnect I don't have a clue as to what it is and how to begin using it although I have been using FSX from its beginning. The only reason I'm inquiring about it now is because I just upgraded the Eaglesoft Citation X and they have switched from using FSUIPC to calibrate the throttles to using Simconnect. I would appreciate any guidance on how to get into this thing. I am using the FSX Gold Edition. Thanks. Jim

Hi Jim, I have neither the ENB series nor the SweetFS hack installed so that's not it. I'll try your other suggestions and see what happens. Thanks. Jim

One thing I didn't mention is that when I unselect DX Preview and go back to DX9 all is good. No crashes. Not sure what selecting DX10 has to do with it. Jim

I've been thinking about going to DX10 but after selecting it and restarting the sim, I get a Fatal Error with the faulting module name of FSUI.dll. Using Win 10/64. Anyone know how I can correct this because I want to be sure I can use it before I purchase Steve's DX10 Fixer. Thanks for any guidance. Jim

Hi Ace, Your're right, I am trying to install on a second HD that is separate from the OS. Tried to install some other programs on it and am getting some errors on them too. Guess I've got to get my HD's and registry straightened out before I start on FSX install. Thanks for your good advice. Jim

Hi, Due to a hard drive failure I am trying to reinstall FSX on another drive. The problem I am having is that during the install I am getting an error 0x80040702. "Failed to load dll: gameuxinstallhelper". Anybody else ever have this problem and if so, what did you do to fix it. I've searched and have found several suggestions but none seem to work for me. I'm using Win 10. Would appreciate any fixes for this. Jim

Another question. I use FSUIPC for all my calibrations and button assignments in FSX. What is used in P3d since I'm assuming that FSUIPC doesn't work in it. Jim

Wow! Looks like P3d gets a big thumbs up from about everybody. A couple of more questions though. Is there any conflict in having FSX and P3d on the same hard drive? Also, should I get the latest version or is one version better than the other? Thanks for all the replys. Jim

I'm fixin to get a new computer and am curious about P3d. I have always used FSX and have been more or less satisfied with its performance. I see where more and more people are switching to P3d and am wondering if anyone has any regrets about switching from FSX. What are some of the drawbacks or limitations in P3d that didn't occur in FSX. Thanks for any advice that would be useful before I select which to use in the new puter. Jim

Hi Bryn, Have had Win 10 for several months and have had no problems with any aircraft. The CJ2 does great on it. You shouldn't have any problems either. Jim

Hi Jaime, You're close. The airport elevation is 25'. Juneau, Alaska. I was using runway 26 with the dp as I posted. If runway 8 is used it states: Climbing right turn as soon as practical. I just wonder where the 430' came from if not shown in the dp chart. Anyhow, thanks guys for the clarification. Jim
