I know this has been asked and answered before but can't find the reference. Question is, does replacing the Content affect my addons or will I have to reinstall them? I have many addon planes and would hate to have to reinstall them all. Thanks. Jim

I'm fuzzy on how to use Github to download and install mods. Could someone give me a quick and dirty on how to use it? I have watched videos on Youtube but I must be dense because I don't get it. Will appreciate you. Jim

Got it working. Apparently I was incorrectly transferring it to the Community folder. Thanks for the advice. Jim

The previous versions had a Mod Set page in the FMC where you could select different options including connecting ground power. I don't seem to have that option in the latest version, 0.12.0. Was this function removed or am I doing something wrong. What way can I verify that I have the latest version. It almost seems like I have the default version without any mods. Any ideas as to what I may have done wrong? Thanks. Jim

Finally got it to work. Apparently the problem was due to having been in the Development mode. After turning that off it started working ok. Who knew? Jim

After troubleshooting my problem, with no success, I decided to delete, download and reinstall another of my payware planes. I chose to try the Aerosoft CRJ which has been operating flawlessly. After reinstalling I am having the same problem as the JF P28 Arrow. Getting a CTD with it. So I guess it's not a problem with just the Arrow. Never had any CTD''s prior to the latest update. Any more ideas? I'm lost on this one. Jim

Did as you suggested. I got as far as the hanger and selected the plane but had CTD when I went to the world map to fly. In troubleshooting previously I even uninstalled the plane and started over with the original release and no updates. Still got CTD. Jim

After updating the PA28 Arrow (v.0.4.0) I'm getting a CTD immediately after the New Activities screen. I've had the plane since it was released and installed the two previous updates and all has worked ok. If I uninstall the plane from my system all is good. I even updated to the latest RTX 2080 Super driver with no joy. Really lost on this one and could use some help. Thanks. Jim

If I try to run MSSF 2020 as administrator, all my purchase attempts fail. If I run without administrator sign in, my purchases work as they should. Jim

Got it fixed. The problem was that that lever was assigned to "flaps" in SPAD. Don't know how that happened because I have never assigned any actions within SPAD. Go figure. Once I deleted the assigned assignment within SPAD all works as designed. Thanks for your help. Jim

First let me explain my hardware: Use Honeycomb yoke to control flight controls Use a Saitek Pro Flight yoke only to be able to use the Saitek Pro Flight quadrant (I use two Pro Flight quadrants) Use a second Pro Flight quadrant to be able to use on dual engine planes Use a CH Throttle Quadrant for landing gear and flaps All controls work ok - both throttles, both prop controls, and both mixture controls. The problem I have is that the number 1 prop lever also controls the flaps. I have gone through all the control bindings and can't see where any prop levers are assigned to flaps or where any flap controls are assigned to prop. Number 2 prop lever only controls the prop as it should. I use a toggle switch on the CH quadrant to control flaps - it does not affect the #1 prop. This happens on both the default Baron and the Carenado PA44 Could use and suggestions on how to fix this. Thanks Jim

Well, I have discovered the source of the problem. It's got something to do with my Honeycomb yoke. If I unplug the yoke, all works ok. Plug it back in and the problem re-occurs. Any suggestions as to what I should check?

This is really getting bizarre. If I start the C172 using the Ctrl E command the engine will start but after it starts, the ignition key moves by itself back and forth with the engine also shutting off then restarting following what the key does. Then the engine eventually dies and when I use the Ctrl E command again in an attempt to restart, the key goes back and forth but won't turn enough to start the engine. After I have let off of the Ctrl E command keys, the key will keep moving back and forth by itself. When I try to start using the mouse, I hover the curved arrow over the ignition key but can't get the key to turn. The key will move a little but not enough to move to the next position I've tried using the mouse LH button and also the mouse wheel. Guess I'll check more planes. All worked ok until just before the latest hot fix. Been simming many years so I'm not a noobie, but have never seen anything like this. Jim

For some reason I can't start the C172 and C152. When I use the mouse to turn the switch, the key won't move more than one position and then springs back. The only way I can turn the key to the start position is to use the start switch on my Honeycomb yoke. Then the engine will crank but then die. Got gas and mixture is in. So far all the other planes seem to start ok with the Honeycomb switch but the mouse controlled switch acts the same on all planes. Can't figure wnat's going on here. Jim 't

Got it fixed. Seems like "True Cockpit Mode" was selected "On". Turned it off and all is good. Jim

Since the last update I have no cockpit camera control. It''s stuck on the instrument panel and can't be changed. The zoom using the mouse wheel works ok but nothing else. Not sure what I should change in the Controls section to get camera control back. External camera works ok and can be moved around with the mouse. How to fix? Jim

My internet connection speed is very slow. Takes about three days to download MSFS 2020. Had it working fine until I had a hard drive failure whereas I lost everything. Got a new computer and tried to download again and got up to about 70% when the download stopped and Windows started downloading some other update. Not associated with the sim. Attempting to download a third time and got up to 35% when it backed up to 27%. Let it keep on downloading and got up to 33% and now it backed up to 27% and increasing again. I'm not talking about the download percentages for each individual section, but rather the total download percentage. The rate it's going now, it will take another couple of days minimum to complete, if ever. Any body experience this and is this normal? Have never seen a download lose ground like this. Really getting frustrating. Thanks for any ideas. Jim

Not long after I had the sim installed and working, I had a hard drive failure and lost everything. No, I hadn't had chance to back up yet. I got a new computer and am in the process of reinstalling everything. I'm having a problem trying to redownload MSFS. I go to the Microsoft Store and navigate to the sim that I own and click on "install". Nothing happens. Download doesn't start. Any idea what else I have to do to start the process? Would appreciate any help. Jim

The computer is already on its way so can't change anything now. It is equipped with a 1 TB SSD and a 1 TB HDD. Thanks for all the advice though. Jim

I'm pretty sure this has been discussed before but can't locate the postings. I'm about to get a new computer that has both a SSD and HDD. My question is on which should I put P3d and MSFS? I'm assuming that Win 10 will come loaded on the SSD. Does it even matter or is there any advantage to one way or other where the sims go? Thanks for any advice. Jim
