November 6, 20205 yr hoping someone out there using a controller, could advise a workaround for the fact the stick i'd use is self-centering, so keeping the throttle open(in a plane without an autothrottle) would involve keeping it open with a finger on it, which not all that convenient ..........
November 7, 20205 yr Pretty sure the only answer is the obvious answer... Don't use a thumbstick for the throttle. The only input that's going to work is a button (A,B,X,Y or ✖️,⭕,🔲,🔺). No, not ideal, as I find a delay in holding a button down to feeling a change in acceleration, but it's the only option that won't 'centre' itself when you release pressure.
