November 7, 20205 yr Greetings, I hope all is well with you, your work and your flying! I was wondering if you know how to auto-slew the G530 to the NAV 1 CDI on the C172SP in X-Plane 11 in GPS Mode and similarly how to auto-slew the G430 to the NAV 2 CDI on the C172SP in X-Plane 11 in GPS Mode? By default they do not auto-slew in X-Plane 11, however it would be greatly appreciated if you could let me know how to achieve this. I would greatly appreciate your help! In the past I had left instructions on how to connect the G430 to NAV 2 CDI to receive GPS information on NAV2 from the G430 in the C172SP so I have already successfully connected the G430 to the Nav2 CDI. Now I just need to know how I can auto-slew both Nav 1 & Nav 2 to their respective G530 & G430 in GPS Mode. I greatly appreciate all of your help!
November 7, 20205 yr Author Greetings, I hope all is well with you, your work and your flying! I continue to greatly enjoy your RealtyXP G530 & G430! Keep up the good work! I have already selected the auto-slew option in the RealityXP Settings and this has not achieved the auto-slew on either Nav 1 nor Nav 2. By default they do not auto-slew in X-Plane 11, however it would be greatly appreciated if you could let me know how to achieve this. I would greatly appreciate your help! November 9, 20205 yr Hi, if you mean "automatically adjusting the OBS to the DTK", there is a setting for this already conveniently named "Auto-Slew". It is doing this with the HSI gauge only and is a convenience feature in the simulator. There are some mechanical HSI gauges IRL capable of doing this but most often this is a feature which is found with electronic HSI (EFIS, etc...).
November 10, 20205 yr Author No, this is not what I mean. I would like to auto-slew the analogue Nav 1 and Nav 2 CDIs to their respective RealityXP GNS 530 & GNS 430 on the X-Plane 11 C-172SP panel when in GPS mode so that they auto-slew to the DTΚ of the GPS.

November 12, 20205 yr Well, this is exactly what the auto-slew feature I've described above is actually doing, with the HSI, and only with the HSI. Please understand this is just a convenience feature and very few mechanical HSI have a motor automatically turning the HSI CRS to the GPS DTK. It is however quite standard with electronic EFIS and we've added this feature to enhance the integration, since many of them in the simulator world are either not implementing auto-slew or can't do it with a 3rd party GPS (they could but they don't). For VOR indicators, you have to turn the OBS knob manually as it is expected IRL.
November 14, 20205 yr Author I was trying to achieve what you wrote in your final sentence so that the round dials of Nav 1 & Nav 2 on the C-172SP would rotate to the DTK of the GPS when in GPS mode on both the G530 & G430 to the Nav 1 & Nav 2 CDIs. The X-Plane 11 C-172SP does not have HSIs. I agree this is not realistic, but this is a simulator and I was hoping this could be achieved somehow on the the X-Plane 11 C-172SP.
