No worries.

I assume you installed MCE to default folder C:\Program Files (x86)\Multi Crew Experience\

It's the preferred location if you don't want to be told, disable UAC or run sim as admin.

From that location, MCE has all the system rights it needs to say automatically start another app and connect to the sim.

Unlike with P3D or FSX, when you start MCE it is supposed to automatically start the new app "Simco64_Ldr.exe", without which it won't be able to communicate with the sim.

Perhaps you have some agressive anti-virus that's blocking that specific app or putting it to quarantine (check file is present inside MCE installation folder). Tell AV to trust it.

Sometimes users fiddle with <Program Files (x86)> folder access rights (always a bad thing to do) causing Windows to downgrade applications rights residing in that folder.

If nogo, suggest the following...

Un-install MCE via Windows Control Panel

Restore folder rights to default,

Set Windows UAC to default (2 notches) up the slider

Restart PC and install MCE to default path.

Should be all you need to do.

Confirm up and running.

See this thread to understand what happens when users override folders permissions
