November 11, 20205 yr I'm seeing enough clues to believe before you do an install or patch install you adhere to the following simple best practice: make sure Win 10 is fully up-to-date, make sure MS Store app is up-to-date and you are signed in, and make sure you are also signed into the Xbox App in Win 10. After insuring all's well then open the MS Store app and do your patch install from there before ever opening MSFS, unless you didn't know there was an update pending. I mention this as it seems some who have had troubles w/ this or that, or even could not execute the game have resorted to such draconian reactions as uninstalling and re-installing MSFS, or even reinstalling Windows 10.
