November 18, 20205 yr Hello, As we all now there are some issues with 5.1 version regarding the EA (dark VC with black outside textures, etc.). I would like not to roll back to the 5.0 version, instead I would like to wait patiently for hotfix and till that to use P3D with EA disabled. I would like to ask, what are your experience using different software for clouds, sky textures etc.? Everyone has own taste in this regard, but would like to hear your opinions and configuration you use. Personally I use the active sky as a weather engine and have ASCA and REX SkyForce. Is it necessary to use the shader software in 5.0 like Tomato Shade/PTA, etc.? Thank you in advance. Best, Arek Edited November 18, 20205 yr by ark4diusz
November 18, 20205 yr Hello Arek, i´am very happy with the combination of 5.1 with EA off + ASP3D+ASCA+ENVSHADE-/TeX. I´am always and only fly in realtime with realweather and the skies and clouds are looking awsome. Especially what i would exspect to see in terms of weather, knowing what time, season and conditions we have actually in reallife, is matched almost in 99,9 %. The only down of the old fashion way is the nightsky of P3D where the stars are too big and too much or better say not differented eneough by their real density. November 18, 20205 yr Author Thank you Bernd for your help! For what exactly do you use ENVSHADE-/TeX? Best, Arek

Best, Arek The main reason why I´ve got that i can tweak the shading of the athmosphere a little. The issue in P3D stockversion is, that the athmospheric haze and scattering si not very realistic. In reallife you allways have a kind of blueish haze in the athmosphere where object more far from you as others appear more washed out and also the ground looks much less satureized down from 35000 ft, which all comes from the ammount of water vapor in our athmosphere. ENVSHADE makes a quite good job to implement this athmospheric effects into the sim. Together with the real weather and clouds from AS, i get a very realistic picture so far.
