Can anyone help explain to me the autothrottle in the 787?  I have it armed, and the A/T button is lit up, but still I have to control the throttle manually. Am I missing something?  Or is this another "undocumented feature?"

I don't believe manual activation of IAS hold is working in the 787 sadly (at least it did not for me after today's update - it would only adjust the throttles to maintain minimum airspeed at max AOA for whatever configuration I was in). I would try one of the other modalities like FL CH or VNAV.

This is really a GA sim at present and doesn't really lend itself to the heavy metal (yet). As others have noted, P3D is much more robust in this regard for the time being.
