November 18, 200619 yr Another FSX question.Does anyone experience FSX hanging when using the ALT+TAB keys to switch to the desktop or other program? When I use ALT+TAB, FSX naturally minimizes to the task bar. After it does, I cannot get it back to full screen. FSX just hangs in the task bar. Only alternative is to CTL+ALT+DELETE and shut down the program or do a computer reset.Any ideas?Regards,Richard
November 18, 200619 yr After clicking on FSX in the task bar, wait a second, hit esc, then (hopefully, it works for me) it will come up with the end flight/continue flight dialog box, click on continue flight and you should be good to go.
November 18, 200619 yr Have you tried using the "Windows" key(s) (the keys with the Windows logo on them) just outboard of the Alt keys instead of Alt+Tab? I had problems like you are having with FS9, using the Windows key fixed it. R-
November 18, 200619 yr Yes, alt+tabbing back to FSX doesnt work. And MS are informed.A way that seem to work alot is this:1. Open task manager.2. Select the "Flight Simulator" application3. Right popup menu. Select "Bring to front/top" (or whatsits name)On the other hand:One thing that DO bug me (and possibly others) is that "Slow keys" or what that feature is called in English XP: It keep popping up, minimising FSX (fortunately PAUSING it). Even though i have SPECIFICALLY disabled the feature, it still keeps popping up :(Rather annoying and happens mostly when i am landing :(
November 18, 200619 yr I don't have that problem. It works for me. I just click on FSX on the task bar and it returns to full screen (FSX paused). Perhaps you have a video card driver problem? Maybe reinstalling the drivers will fix it. My system specs: Intel P4 3.6 GHz w/2 gigs DDR2 SDRAM; Radeon X800XT PCIe video card; two 250 gig SATA HD.Best regards,Jim
November 19, 200619 yr it's a "known behaviour" but... let me help you out again :-)with the focus on the stuck taskbar button just squeeze alt-enter twice (and think what it does ;-)). no need to escape, task-manage or ctrl-alt-delete anything
November 20, 200619 yr I used to get this problem in the begining. I found that pressing the P key to unpause the game helped get it back. For some reason I don't seem to get this problem much anymore.
November 20, 200619 yr I also get this problem, I cannot believe how buggy FSX really is. I thought it was my new rig but obviously not. I am using the latest 93.71 drivers Keith Sandford.
November 20, 200619 yr Ms advised of this in manual.I think its a memory allocation issue.Good tips here though!
