November 26, 20205 yr After responding yesterday to a new topic in the Screenshots forum, I mentioned my interest in flying the Columbia River Gorge from Portland, Oregon, east until the confluence from the Snake River near the Tri-Cities area of Washington (Kennewick, Pasco, and Richland). Then today I read a great article in my current AOPA Pilot mag featuring Ken Jernstedt Airfield (4S2) at Hood River, Oregon. The article covered the taildragger flight school located there, the Western Antique Aeroplane and Automobile Museum (WAAAM), and the nearby and aptly named "Fruit Loop", a short driving loop through self-pick berry and fruit orchards, and wineries. What a great destination for a flight, and right on the Columbia River. Alas I found it almost as poorly rendered as my home airport, KESN, here in eastern Maryland. A few structures at the airport, but most are only flat blobs of color on the ground. Come on Asobo. Get some on these....
