AI Traffic Resets Randomly

Featured Replies

I will be on final with AI behind me and suddenly the traffic just resets. Several minutes later that same traffic reappears on final.

I have noticed traffic resets randomly after starting sim, or during final approach phases.

I am using P3d5.1 + latest hotfix

AIG traffic

AS P3d (Latest Active Sky)

Any help or ideas would be apprecited.

Thank you!

AI traffic behavior in P3d and FSX (and for that matter MSFS too) has always been wacky. Aircraft disappear then reappear and also use the wrong runways. People have attempted to make various AI utilities which correct this behavior, but most of them are more trouble than they are worth. If you really want AI traffic that both follows SIDs and STARs and uses the correct approaches, one possibility is VOXATC. The other is to use an add-on that relies on RL traffic data and not AIG bgls.

Thank you very much for your response.

I never had an issue until recently. I am wondering if this is possibly weather related since there was an update to AS P3D recently. I will try and post to their forum to see if anyone else is having the same issue.

It could be. Check the ASP3D setting that relates to locking wind direction on final approach.

I will definitely do that. I was flying into KSFO this afternoon and it reset probably 4-5 times.
