Plane turns into Silver Surfer after texture Edit

Recommended Posts

I have some existing textures for the Carenado Archer II. I made a very minor change to the fuselage texture and saved it, when the plane loads the texture is polished silver!

I believe this is related to the Alpha channel, but not sure. Can anyone tell me why this happens and how to fix it?

Thanks,

JCH

It's definitely the Alpha channel. What software are you using to edit the textures? I've used DXTbmp to edit the alpha channel settings and make sure the textures are saved in the right bitmap format.

jbo,

I  have read about DXTbmp, and will give that a try. Thank you for the reply, I will let you know!
