  1. Kabronicus, that is what I thought, too. But thank you, onebob, I see it now, though it is quite small and hard to see. JCH
  2. Does anyone else have an RMI? Mine has been changed to an ADF needle only, no VOR needle for #2. JCH
  3. These are the issues I have found so far: I find the ADF very difficult to use. I have to keep right and left clicking to change which part of the frequency to change. I also find the #2 NAV does not appear to drive the VOR needle in the RMI. I do get NAV 2 DME. Otherwise a great looking aircraft and flies very nicely, a good effort by Carenado. JCH
  4. These are the ones I have found. FLC does not capture the current speed. For me, it seems to settle about 8-10 knots above the speed at which it was selected, and then does not respond to the VS/SPEED wheel. The bug should appear at the speed at which it was selected, and then respond to speed changes made with the VS/SPEED wheel. If I select TERRAIN on the MFD, then de-select TERRAIN on the MFD, TERRAIN remains. Then the MFD will have momentary switches between TERRAIN and no TERRAIN, and always returns to TERRAIN. The landing lights do not illuminate unless the gear is down. They should illuminate regardless. They do alternate, if selected, once illuminated. I finally discovered through trial and error the right click/left click trick for selecting 1,000 and 100 foot selections on the altitude select wheel. Not very intuitive and completely different than the last version. I will report on any others I find. JCH
  5. Thanks for the kind words, Scott! At 85 MPH best glide, (1968 model, airspeed in MPH) we actually got much further than I thought we would, but the whole event from start to finish was about 2-2 1/2 minutes at best.(Though it SEEMED much longer!)The prop conitinued to windmill until impact, so it was scored and bent. I believe the practice, and having read a couple thousand accident reports over the years, made the difference in being able to keep calm. Thanks again, Chris
  6. We still have our 182, but it doesn't carry nearly the weight of a 206. The jumpers who left the aircraft were all solo fun jumpers. The two who stayed were a tandem. The tandem master decided it was safer to stay than to jump so low with a passenger. This is also recommended in the BSR's (Basic Safety Recommendations) of the USPA. They strongly recommend not jumping a tandem below 2,000 AGL. Much to his credit, the yooung man who was the passenger decided if he could survive a crash landing, he could survive anything, and rescheduled his jump. As did five other 'civilians' who witnessed all this from the airtport. One told my manager, 'You guys obviously have your emergency procedures down, so we will be back.'
  7. Thank you, CoolP. At 1,000 AGL shortly after takeoff, the #4 push rod end cap failed, punching a hole in the top of the engine. It was vibrating badly and I also worried about fire, so I shut it down and flew best glide to the ground. Here is a shot of the engine. JCH
  8. Gemtlemen, On 1 April, I suffered an engine failure in a U206B owned by the parachute club I fly for, and had to land the aircraft in a farmer's field. All 6 jumpers and I escaped with no or only minor injuries. (Four jumped, 2 had to ride it in with me). I got a little banged up, but just bruises. Unfortunately I was uanble to prevent damage to the aircraft, and after inspecting it, the A&P for the club has deemed the aircraft a writeoff. Sadly, I will never fly her again in real life, so I would like to have it in flight sim. I am writing to ask if any of you talented painters would be willing to do a repaint of this aircraft (FS9 and FSX) for me? I have many good pictures of it from all angles. It would be much appreciated. Thnk you, JCH
  9. Well, gents, I followed the directions in the link above, and it didn't work. Not only that, it corrupted my TM installation-the landing gear on the 'mouse disappeared! No matter what I did I couldn't find the problem and ending up deleting it from FSX. So I guess I wait for CS to release a cockpit.JC
  10. Has anyone tried this? Just curious, they look like terrific models.JC
  11. Thank you for the reply, Bert. I will check the settings in mine. JCH
  12. Gentlemen,How do I get the RXP 430W installed and make it drive either the HSI or the VOR 2 head/needles? I haven't had any luck with that. I'd like to know how to make this work in the V35 (FSX)and the Saratoga and Seneca (FS9) as well.Thank you for any help.JCH
  13. On Boeing aircraft, spoilers are used to augment roll control in flight. I'm not sure if it is the same arrangement for all Boeings, but from the 727 manual:'During the first ten degrees of control wheel movement, roll control is provided by ailerons only. After ten degrees, the flight spoilers on the down-wing side will rise an amount proportional to aileron movement.'Many types of aircarft have this feature, and if memory serves, the Mitsubishi MU-2 turboprop uses ONLY spoilers for roll control, as it employs full-length trailing edge flaps.JCH
  14. Since I DID pay for it and can PROVE it, and FFS has left us holding the bag, I don't think it would be unethical for someone who has the FFS SAAB340 to send me the installer and their code so I could have it back, do you? Anyone help me out here? I'll pay for the CD and the shipping. My computer blew it's harddrive. We copied it EXACTLY onto a new HD, but my SAAB won't work. I unfortunately never noticed my receipt doesn't have the reg code on it, and somehow I missed backing up the installer. So I am SOL unless someone can help me out.JCH
  15. Mr. Conklin:Thank you so much for your quick reply. I made some changes to my sensitivity settings, and all is well. I appreciate the help.Chris
  16. All of the sudden, I am having A/P problems. Most of the time it just refuses to engage at all, the paddles will not move though I get a hand cursor over them, then sometimes the elevator paddle will move but the aileron paddle will not. The mode switch, HDG SEL, nor the ALT HOLD switches will stay engaged either. I have reinstalled the panel from V1.1 up to the latest, and have replaced FSUIPC and FSSound DLL's just to make sure those weren't corrupted, still the same problem. All elsre on the panel works. Anyone else have this issue? Any ideas on what could be causing this? Any help would be appreciated, I love the Mouse and don't want to give it up.Chris
  17. Rick:Is this video part of a full-length video, or from a program? Where could I get a copy? Thanks.Chris
  18. Bob, thank you for the quick replies, your support for your freeware puts many payware developers to shame! You were correct after all, my FSUIPC and FSSound.dll had been relaced with different versions during installation of another aircraft. I re-installed the correct files, and my TinMouse now works fine. I appreciate the help.Chris
  19. Bob, I have it installed, I think it is version 3.0.4, the funny thing is the TM worked with this before my problem cropped up, so to be honest I don't know WHAT has heppened. One day the panel worked, then one day it didn't and no matter what I do, I cannot get it back to where it was. Version 1.1 is the only version that I can get to work, except for the ASI.
  20. I finally got the panel to work, but only by using V1.1. However, the airspeed will NOT work under any circumstances. All buses are powered, avionics on, everything works but the airspeed. This is also starting from the default flight, then loading the TM. I switched to another aircraft, A/S works there, but not in the TM. Any suggestions?
  21. Bob, I don't think it is. The flaps won't work with the F6-F7 keys, and the buses are powered, both engines running with gens. online, and still low pressure lights on all pumps (checked, tanks are full). It's as if I have a corrupt gauge file or something, even after a complete delete and re-install.
  22. I hadn't used the TM panel for a while, and when I went to use it, it no longer works correctly. So I deleted the panel from fsconsv, and rebuilt it from V1.2 on, and no matter how many times I do it, it will not work correctly. The fuel pumps always have low pressure lights, and the flaps will not respond to F6-F7. I have re-DL'd the files, and followed directions exactly as before, no joy. Any advice would be appreciated.Chris
  23. I have the opposite problem. If I try to reduce the fuel from full to a lesser value, when I return to the flight the center (or wing) tank fills back up of it's own volition. The only way I can to make it stop is to change the value in the fuel percentage window rather than the value in the pounds window.
  24. Thanks for the quick reply. I'll wait and see if there are any takers.-Chris
  25. Thank you for V1.21, now I can use my hot keys for flaps, and the spoilers finally work! I have flown both the KH and TM versions today, and I'm having fun!
