December 16, 20205 yr Hi guys, So.. Next month I will build a "Budget PC" and here's the specifications that will be used are CPU : Ryzen 5 2600/3500 / 3500x / 3600 or Ryzen 3 3300x or (again) Ryzen 7 2700x the reason why I didn't choose Intel because I will do some rendering in blender and some other multitasking .. GPU : MSI GTX 1080 ARMOR OC 8GB (Purchased) RAM : Team T-Force Delta RAM 16GB 3200mhz MOBO: MSI B450 GAMING PLUS MAX SSD&HDD : Team CX2 SSD 256GB and 2 Terabyte WD HDD PSU : Be Quiet! System power 9 500W (Purcahsed) FAN CASE : 5x DeepCool RF120 (Purchased) (3 Intake from the front panel, 1 Intake from the upper panel, 1 exhaust at the back of the case) And here are some of the applications I run frequently Discord, Chrome, Spotify, Simbrief Downloader, Steam, Prepar3D/ X-Plane 11, Sketchup and several games like CSGO, Assetto Corsa, F1 2020, Adobe Family, etc. I wish I could run some AAA games at 1080p resolution and run Prepar3Dv4.5 / v5 / X-Plane smoothly. My Questions is I can't spend on the Ryzen 5000 Series yet so I can only buy Ryzen 5 2600/3500/3500x/3600 or Ryzen 3 3300x or maybe Ryzen 7 2700x so which CPU Should i get for next month ? Thanks before Kings Regards Edited December 16, 20205 yr by ReyRizkio
December 23, 20205 yr You would get a decent uplift in perf from the 2600 to 3600 or the 3600x if the price is right. Could pick one up second hand on the cheap probably as it looks like new retail units are just above 200 usd again. Still a mega bargain for the overall perf you get at that price. I dont think the extra cores of the 2700 is worth It over the ipc etc gains on the 3600 in comparison. I’m sure you could isolate an instance or two the 2700 might win but I think with the games etc it is a better call overall.
