November 26, 200619 yr G'day all, My new FSX install works okay - I can fly etc but once in game, the keyboard does not respond nor does the mouse. When you press a key, it literally takes 10 minutes for the keystroke to register. There is no arrow indicating that the mouse is even working.I am using a joystick as a primary controller but this shouldn;t happen - never had a problem in FS2004. Can anyone help? The game is unplayable in this state. Thanks in advance.
November 26, 200619 yr I don't have an answer but I just wanted to say welcome to the forum(s). November 26, 200619 yr Have you set FSX to run as a high priority task in Windows? I tried that in FS9 and had strange results. Do you use an animated mouse in Windows? I've heard that that can cause mouse problems within the sim.R-
November 28, 200619 yr Yes I have it running as a High Priority. Should I remove this??No I use a normal mouse so I don't think that is an issue. Thanks for the welcome ;)
November 28, 200619 yr I would remove the high priority setting and see what happens. It may well be, as this sim is already so CPU-intensive, that with that higher setting there is simply no room left to run normal background tasks. Easy to change.Doug Intel 10700K @ 5.1Ghz, Asus Hero Maximus motherboard, Noctua NH-U12A cooler, Corsair Vengeance Pro 32GB 3200 MHz RAM, RTX 2060 Super GPU, Cooler Master HAF 932 Tower, Thermaltake 1000W Toughpower PSU, Windows 10 Professional 64-Bit, 100TB of disk storage. November 28, 200619 yr >Yes I have it running as a High Priority. Should I remove>this??>That's my suggestion. I tried it with FS9 and it was a disaster. R-
