December 26, 20205 yr Hi all, first off a merry Xmas and happy new year to all. I have a question regarding installing p3d v5. I currently have p3d v4.5 running on my C drive however I am about to install a new m.2 ssd in the coming days. My current C drive is nearly full so my question is, can I install p3d v5 on my new m.2 and still keep v.4.5 on my C drive? Does anything from v.5 install onto the C drive? Thanks in advance Ash Allen

Thanks in advance Ash Allen Yes. Like your v4, your P3Dv5 Addons Folders as well as some of the system files will install into C e.g. ProgramData, Config files etc. Some addons also insist on installing into the P3D Addons folder e.g. MaddogX. Others will/may give you the option to install either into the P3D Root Directory or a location of your choice e.g. Sceneries and weather addons such as ActiveSky etc. If you have ORBX, there is also an option to install outside P3D Root and onto an ORBX Library, location will be up to you. If you want to keep C as is, a workaround for your current limitation would be to move location of your current Documents Folder to another drive on your PC (additional internal drive that has the capacity for expansion). Refer to the following tutorial on this: https://www.tenforums.com/tutorials/74952-move-location-documents-folder-windows-10-a.html Otherwise, you couldnuke your C drive and start anew with your v5 install to prevent any downstream issues once you are comfortable with the move to v5. Please only do this after you have deactivated your respective P3D software and saved all files/folders that you wish to keep. Hope this helps and Merry Christmas
