Hi all I've recently been flying into NZQN in msfs and I have just have a question about the weather. I can never seem to get a METAR for queenstown and every time I arrive the weather is clear however when I look up the live weather on google, its raining. How does MSFS get the live weather? Does it use the METAR for weather depiction? Regards Ash

Hi all, I recently installed msfs and have been trying to set it up to my liking. I have done a few successful flights in the fenix a320 however I have an issue where when I press "fly" in the world map, msfs becomes unresponsive. I don't have any other addons except the fenix a320. All challenges are usable, its only the free flight that does not work. This has come out of nowhere. I have researched the issue and none of the fixes work. Can anyone provide any assistance? Kind regards, Ash

Hi all, I do have a quite fast 5g connection through my phone and high data cap here in Sydney so I guess it won't be an issue. Initial download and subsequent updates will be done at another location so it's really just the day to day usage I was asking about. Also on another note, I experience a great deal of frustration when replying on avsim through my phone with words being deleted without me doing so and the formatting going crazy.. It's just does not play nice. Does anyone else experience this?

Hi all, I'm currently running p3d v5 and looking to move to MSFS2020. I have a few questions before I move. The idea is to keep both sims. 1-is it better to purchase from steam or the Microsoft store? Is there any difference? 2-i run an i7-8700k with rtx2080 super 32gb ram. Will this be able to handle it well? I know it depends on alot f variables however generally speaking will it run? 3-what real world weather programs do you recommend? I currently use active sky. 4-are there any other must have addons I should purchase? I intend on GSX, Fenix a20. any help would be much loppreciated. Sorry about the formatting of the post. It's not my fault.

Hi all, I'm a bit late to the v5.3 party as I haven't really had time to update. I think I'm either still on 5.1 or 5.2. I understand the update process to 5.3 is different than before but I'm having trouble navigating the exact process. Ideally I don't want to have to reinstall all my addons. Is this even possible? Can anyone explain the process in detail? Any help would be much appreciated. Ashjames.

Hi Ian, I'm using v2 of YSSY from FT. I assume the version I downloaded was the one which had all the fixes. Ill have a look also at orbx and verify the files. Thanks.

Hi all, I seem to be having a problem with fly tampa YSSY where the ground textures disappear. I have uninstalled and downloaded again but its seems to just be sporadic. I remember the problem from before but they released a fix for it. This brings me on to my next problem. I was flying out of orbx YSCH(YCFS) Coffs harbour and I seem to have 2 textures for the runways. I've never had this problem so I'm assuming it's related. The last airport I downloaded was DAVAO from simmarket. Any help is always appreciated.

Hi, i hope you are all well. I have just purchased p3dv5 however I also have p3dv4.5 on the same drive. The idea was to slowly move everything over but it occurred to me that all my scenery is on the same drive. My question is, do I need to re download all my scenery again and point it to p3dv5 or can they all be accessible without re downloading them? I dont have any experience with xml which I read was a much easier way to move things over. Any help is much appreciated. Thanks in advance Ash allen

Hi all, first off a merry Xmas and happy new year to all. I have a question regarding installing p3d v5. I currently have p3d v4.5 running on my C drive however I am about to install a new m.2 ssd in the coming days. My current C drive is nearly full so my question is, can I install p3d v5 on my new m.2 and still keep v.4.5 on my C drive? Does anything from v.5 install onto the C drive? hi all, I have a question regarding downloading msfs2020 from the Microsoft store. I plan to buy a 1TB m.2 for the sim, can I download directly to this new drive or will it download to C drive and have to be moved after? My C drive is almost full so downloading first to C and then moving is not an option. Thanks in advance.

Hi all, I seem to be having issues when landing, particularly at YSSY and RPLL. About 50ft or so before touch down, the aircraft seems to slam into the runway and it becomes very hard to stop. It seems like an elevation issue when the aircraft think it's at touch down point but its still 50 ft or so above. The only new program I have added was upgrading to GSX level 2. I am currently overseas at the moment but am still running P3D v4.5. Any help would be much appreciated. Kind regards, Ash allen

I really like froogle(pete) and I have not seen his video although , I'm still waiting for more info. We are all so excited about something we really know nothing about. I'm new a new poster but been in the forums for over 10 years. I think its quick to say it's the best sim ever or hate on it. All i know is that i wont change anytime soon. 6 months with p3d I'm happy as a pig in mud.

Hi all, I am having trouble adding taxi2gates VHHH to p3dv4. I have done quite a bit of research and still cant get it to work. Is it simply a case of changing the install directory from v3 to v4 or is more needed? I am a complete novice in this area so any help would be much appreciated. Thanks, Ash

Hi all, I have recently built a new pc with an i7-8700k and rtx 2060 and downloaded fsx se. After installing, I can't for the life of me make the graphics sharp. I have nvidia inspector and I am certain it's been set up correctly however it doesn't seem to be working. Can anyone offer any advice? Thanks

Thanks for the reply. Yes VH-EFR will fly for alot longer but i think it was an old ANA 767 although i stand corrected however back on to topic of my issues. I have downloaded the new manager without any luck. I appreciate your help and passion for qantas. BTW, the 767 captain shook my hand and thanked me for my passion for the 767-338ER. Thanks again!

As the title says. Its the last day of qantas 767 service. I flew on on one of the last services today and then the 787. Great day! Came home to replicate my travels and ran into trouble. Im having trouble with the couatl add on manager and i cant fly. Im asking for help although it would be great but i just need to vent. An otherwise special day again ruined by something. I held the 767 throttle in my hand today. If only it was that easy. Thanks for listening Ashley james
