  1. I'm having the same issue. I'm stuck on the msfs splash screen and it's not loading at all. Task manager doesn't show anything "not responding ". It was working fine last night.
  2. Thanks for the reply. Yes VH-EFR will fly for alot longer but i think it was an old ANA 767 although i stand corrected however back on to topic of my issues. I have downloaded the new manager without any luck. I appreciate your help and passion for qantas. BTW, the 767 captain shook my hand and thanked me for my passion for the 767-338ER. Thanks again!
  3. As the title says. Its the last day of qantas 767 service. I flew on on one of the last services today and then the 787. Great day! Came home to replicate my travels and ran into trouble. Im having trouble with the couatl add on manager and i cant fly. Im asking for help although it would be great but i just need to vent. An otherwise special day again ruined by something. I held the 767 throttle in my hand today. If only it was that easy. Thanks for listening Ashley james
  4. Hi, Slightly off topic but i read today that the first qantas 747-400 and 12th built 747-400 (VH-OJA CITY OF CANBERRA) will be sent to the desert after 25+ years of hard long distance service. Very sad but this aircraft started a new era in australian aviation. This girl might be old but she is still a very capable aircraft and etched in aussie aviation history. Cant wait to fly this beauty in pmdg quality! Ash allen
  5. Hi, I dumped the h390 for the turtle beach x12. After a couple of days use i went straight back to the h390. The x12 was doulble the price aswell .The sound was great with the x12 but its not usb. The trusty h390 lives strong! Ashley allen
  6. If we get a preview of the 747-400v2 next week i will be very very happy. They are quickly disappearing from the aussie skies. Cant wait to see any progress pmdg! Ashley allen
  7. thanks for update PMDG! A little off topic but for those with virtual cdu, there is a new VA installer on their website. ASH ALLEN
  8. Hi guys and gals, I was flying into rpll tonight and there were some storms around. On approach the aircraft would not maintain selected mcp speed and would eventually stall. Im sure its pilot error but I cant pin point what im doing wrong. Fma was showing SPD/LOC/G/S. Asn was active. I thought it could be windshear but i never got a warning. Pls help Ash allen
  9. Fellow captains, Just flew into rpll. Had to go around twice with the winsdhear alert.they are having some major storms in the area. I noticed the A/T could not keep the mcp speed and I had to take over a couple of times. Pretty nervous approach. This aircraft is a gun and I love flying it! Thanks PMDG! Ash allen
  10. A dream to hand fly. Wx works great. Ash allen
  11. Fellow captains, what's your first 777-300er flight? For me it will be YSSY-RPLL. A short 6hrs or so. Hopefully some storms on arrival to test out the WX radar. Ill probably be at a local NRL game when its released though here in Sydney. Ashley allen
  12. Kyle your a champion, works a treat mate. Never realised how the eyepoint moves in its own. Glad I don't have to restart the flight! Ashley allen
  13. Thanks Kyle, I did notice the eyepoint into the headrest. I have just started using EZCA. Thanks again! Ashley allen
  14. Fellow captains, I rarely post but I'm having an issue with my 777.i have searched this issue but can't find anything. I have been flying the 777 since release day without issue. In the last few days I have been having an issue with some panels of 777 with some panels not working, i load the aircraft, start ground power, load flight plan and start the APU. Push back and now either the overhead or the mcp won't work. I have used different livery and different airports. The only way to fix it is re-start fsx all over and begin again which is a pain. Just now I was planning to fly WSSS-WIII after I (in real life ) flew wiii-yssy. I did just install a new WIII scenery. Any help much appreciated! Ashley allen

  16. Hi, I was getting around 25 fps at fs dream team CYVR which was great although a little jittery. I found that after 2 glasses of wine, it gets very very smooth...lol Ashley Allen
  17. Thanks for the reply. I thought it was company specific. Ashley Allen
  18. Hello fellow captains, I notice on the beta videos on YouTube, V2 is set to V2+ 10 but on the air Canada world air routes DVD CYVR-YSSY( my home airport) it is set to V2 on the MCP. I take it the flight director will fly V2+10 on takeoff? Ashley Allen
  19. I agree, The aircraft is truly superb. It is so very different to anything I have flown which is why a step by step guide would be great. Although I can complete a flight, I feel like I'm " feeling my way through" the whole flight and not really knowing if its correct or not. Would love to know how the airlines do it. Once again. My expectations have been well and truly exceeded!!! Regards, Ashley James
  20. I love this spot. Can be tricky on weekdays when it pretty much taken over by large trucks but weekends are gold when 16R is in use!! Ashley allen
  21. Hello captains, I guess this is for my fellow Sydney siders but I was driving by a storage warehouse in the Sydney suburb of Alexandria and I was surprised to see the fuselarge of a southwest 737 sitting on the ground being cut up. It was minus it's wings, engines and landing gear. I was wondering of anyone know why it's here?. I can only assume its being used as a flight sim although it was nearly the whole fuselage and not only cockpit section. Certainly not something you see everyday. it's very close to my work so I'll try And stop by and see what its all about. Anyone in Sydney interested, it on botany road alexandria. Just before green square train. Station on the left hand side, heading towards the city.Ashley allen
  22. I think it's great. It really works!! Ashley Allen
  23. Nothing wrong with airbus, we are all lovers of aircraft here..... I hope. We just need a great pmdg like airbus. Maybe A380? Ashley Allen
  24. Hello captains,I finally downloaded the ngx after a few weeks away in sunny phlippines. Anyway finally back at Yssy and just want to know what the usage of LVL CH is after takeoff instead of vnav. I am very luck to have bought the official Boeing manuals from eBay but it not clear to me wheather I should use LVL CH instead of vnav after lift off. It only states LVL CH only with 1 engine inop unless I'm reading incorrect. Anyway I know a roll mode should be selected first but I'm interested toKnow what you all select other than vnav after lift off? I know V/S is not great as it does not provide speed protection.
