December 26, 20205 yr I just bought the 530/430 for X-Plane and bought and installed it according the setup program. But the licence is not installed correctly Screen on 530 says "RXP INVALID LICENCE CONTACT VENDOR" in yellow. and the 2nd GNS does not appear correctly, it is also master and can not switch that off. It stays just vaguely grey without any content, but the buttons seem to be there, at least hovering the mouse over it shows turning arrow.s. Any idea how to solve?

This is what I see: In the 530 screen: And when trying a second GNS: The left grey area should show a 430 as second device. In the meantime I disable the virusscanner for the relevant directories no change. And another issue found is that the turning buttons do not have an inner and an outer button.
December 27, 20205 yr Author SOLVED the licence and grey second device issue: You should NOT rename C:\RealityXP to anything else, otherwise installation from it will not be sucessful. You will not get any error messages during installations if you do though. If you installed from a renamed directory, just rename it back to C:\RealityXP and exeute the installation again. It is not required to do a uninstall first. This topic can be closed, I will open a new specific one on the rotating buttons.

Had the GTN installation in another directory RealityXP-GTN Temporarly changed the name or RealityXP to RealityXP-GNS Changed the name of RealityXP-GTN to RealityXP Updated the GTN installation When starting X-Plane again the problem with the 530/430 licence issue was back Had to reverse RealityXP to RealityXP-GTN and RealityXP-GNS to RealityXP and reinstall the 530/430 Issue with 530/430 solved. Is it required that all GTN and GNS installation files are in one and the same directory (RealityXP) even if you update/install one of them?

You shouldn't rename this folder nor delete any .lic or .key files there, but you can move any installer copied here (.exe) to another backup location. You might also move the .lic files to "Documents\Reality XP".

That was initially not clear to me certainly because I had both 750, and 430/540 twice, I thought it would be required to have them in separate directories. But it is not required and even makes it not working. Now I have them all in one dir and as backup I just made copies somewhere else.
