P3D new issue. UAC/Run as admin

Featured Replies

Greetings.  Everything had been fine for as long as I can remember.  But I'm noticing now when starting p3d the fslabs prompt comes up telling me it will need to be run as administrator.  Check the box and reboots fine.  When I right click the p3d icon and go to compatibility the run as admin box is checked but greyed out.  Anybody know what's going on?  This feels like windows update may have changed something on me.

Edit: Only other change made was updating to latest Active sky beta that just came out.  Doubt related, but adding in case

well I found the solution from another forum in case anybody else needs help:

1. Click on the button on the lower left called "change settings for all users"

2. Normally the greyed out field shouldn´t change visually, but you at least it should be clickable again.

3. Remove the tick for "Run this program as an administrator".

4. Leave settings via okay ...

5. Go to properties/ compatibility again...

6. Now the ""Run this program as an administrator""-Option should be displayed in normal non-greyed color ...

7. Now set the tick in "Run this program as an administrator" and start the program as usual.
