"Missing" buttons on Saitek X-52

FSX:SE      LINDA 3.1.1      FSUIPC 4975A

First off, not complaining. LINDA is an awesome tool, and I enjoy it--and use it--immensely. I've recently begun using my old Saitek X-52 H.O.T.A.S., and unlike in the past, when I used Saitek's (ugh) profiler, this time I've used LINDA and FSUIPC to assign controls and functions. Having done so, I've discovered controls that neither LINDA nor FSUIPC recognize. 

Some, like the throttle rotaries and slider, I understand LINDA won't "see"...they ain't buttons or switches, after all! 😁 But the rest are, and I'm curious why they aren't seen by either program. The specific buttons and switches are:

1. Mode Switch [MODE] (stick),
2. Pinkie Trigger [6] (stick)
3. Mouse Button [31] (throttle)
4. Mouse Button 2 [32] (throttle)

Just curious as to why they aren't recognized. It's not a big deal, I'm mostly curious.

If FSUIPC can not see the buttons then LINDA won’t. This would suggest that the buttons are defective.

If you haven’t used the stick for some time I would exercise the buttons (press them) to clean the contacts. You can check if Win10 device manager tool will allow you to test the buttons are working or not.

I'd tend to agree, except that Windows USB controller recognizes them as functioning.

Next step is to see whether FSX:SE sees the button.

Select Options/Settings/Controls then Buttons/Keys and New Assignment.

Press problem button and see what appears in box. Press Clear between each key.

I suggest you also turn on Fault Diagnosis Mode (Maintenance tab) and open Console. Any detected button press will display lots of logging information.

FSX:SE does not see them

Fault Diagnosis Mode does not respond to them (it does for the functional ones).

Windows USB controllers still does.

Don't knock yourself out about this 😁 It's not keeping me from doing anything, it's just something I'd stumbled across and wondered what was up.
