January 2, 20215 yr Hello everyone. I registered on avsim in order to ask for help. It seems like a pretty nice place I must say. But let's solve the problem first, which is why I came here to ask people from forum hoping you people will know the answer. So here's the thing. I recently discovered a programs on PlayStore for Andorid mobile phones, that can serve as a panel for FS9. Some are payware, some are freeware and some are demo. But that is not the problem. The problem is, when I open one of their apps, it shows me this message: I followed the step, pretty easy right ? Downloaded their server program: and when I open it, it looks like it is connecting to some fsuipc, but no success. So I went on the internet again, downloaded fsuipc from - http://www.fsuipc.com/ and installed it After succesful installation, it asked me if I want to register or imput the existing data. This program is no longer payware and they unlocked it giving the free email and key codes. So I did that but again, nothing works. Server program still says that it is connecting to fsuipc, fsuipc program closed after entering email. After couple of minutes, this is what popped up in panel program on the phone: And then comes me, pretty confused and unable to match these apps and programs. So friend of mine suggested me the best forum for fs2004, which is avsim.com/forum and I thought it would be a good idea to ask you people for a help. There are a lots of people here, smart and good helpful people that know a lots of stuff about fs2004. I hope someone will know the solution. Is there some another method, perhaps another program ? Would be thankful a lot if you can help me, it would mean so much to me because I am wanting to make a Cessna panel at home with android tablets and phones. All I need is to connect it to fs9, but no success. Thanks in advance, happy new year :)
January 2, 20215 yr Moderator Welcome to AvSim @Dzenis. I had a look at the manual for FS Radio Panel and it seems simple enough. One question... do you have FS9 running? Ray (Cheshire, England). January 2, 20215 yr Author 😚 I feel a little silly now, my friend because I didn’t do that, maybe I should try to turn on fs9 and see what happens. I'm going to do it, I'll let you know soon as things stand. By the way, do I need to enable any option in FS9 or not?
January 2, 20215 yr Moderator @Dzenis, I can guarantee it will work once FS9 is running and FsRadio Panel can 'talk' to FSUIPC. It's a DLL running inside FS9 so if FS9 isn't running then FSUIPC isn't running - hence why the connection cannot be established. No need to enable any option. Just check under Options on the top menu you can see an entry for FSUIPC. It will also generate a log in the FS9\Modules folder. Ray (Cheshire, England). January 2, 20215 yr Author Indeed, it recognized it. I had to press windows button in order to see what's going on in background and you were right. The only thing I need to do now is to go to android app and either enter the IP or try something to activate it. Because on the phone it still asking me for this: Might be the app issue, gonna try another application but I'm glad the fsuipc works. Sorry for my embarassing first post, on the forum :))
January 2, 20215 yr Moderator Glad it's working for you. The only silly question is the one that isn't asked. 😉 We all had to learn. My guess is that you will need to supply an IP address for your FS9 computer to this app. After that it should work just fine. Ray (Cheshire, England). January 2, 20215 yr Author Yes, I did that too and now everything is running well. I think I will have a winter project, making custom and very small dashboard for FS9. Planning to use 3-4 android phones, each phone to display different instrument. Might cut some plywood and recreate the dashboard shape of Cessna.
January 2, 20215 yr Moderator Very clever, well done. 👍 Ray (Cheshire, England).
