January 3, 20215 yr P3Dv5 LINDA 3.2.6.1111 FSUIPC6.0.11 (registered) I've used the tracer/console function before in the past, when running FSX:SE and LINDA 3.1.1, without any difficulty, and with much success. However, trying to do so now doesn't work. The LINDA advanced settings have both check boxes (developer mode, and associated with *.lua) ticked, and set as "verbose", with those two check boxes (GUI and LUA) ticked. Fault Diagnosis Mode is ON. The console window has LINDA logging level as "verbose", with both check boxes (log GUI events and log Lua events) ticked. LVars selected from the Tracer window show up in the console window "Lua Vars watched" but do not show up in the actual console window. It appears as if the selected LVars are never toggled to be actively watched/monitored. I did a test by selecting every Lua variable on the tracer page and clicking [START ALL], which usually gives the warning message that you're trying to start too many at once. I don't get that message. LINDA itself seems to be working fine. The button assignments for my specific aircraft work as programmed, and lua scripts I've written are also still working as written. It just seems to be the tracer function that's not working.
January 4, 20215 yr I have done a quick test of Tracer and I am able to monitor the status of selected Lvars including [START ALL]. Did you click on Reload Lvar List and is it appropriate for the aircraft loaded? What aircraft and Lvar(s) are you trying to monitor? I have reloaded the LVar list, and have verified it is correct. I've also reinstalled LINDA, and the problem still repeats. It repeats for every aircraft I've so far tested in P3Dv5, stock as well as addon. I've attached a screenshot of what I see when I try: every LVar selected, but no activity.
January 4, 20215 yr The Console does not look correct to me. Nothing on the log will be updated if the RESUME (at bottom) has not been clicked and changed to PAUSE. It is not recommended that you track all Lvars as it seriously affects performance and can stop it working. Please let me see the full fsuipc6.log file (email to linda @ awginfosys.net). It is not recommended that you track all Lvars as it seriously affects performance and can stop it working. I paused it so that I could get a screenshot. And I'd selected [ALL] simply to show that none of them were updating. Normally the most I track is 4-6 at a time, and usually only 1-2. Log emailed.
January 4, 20215 yr As I suspected the fsuipc6.log is not logging as expected. It does show LINDA is running (not GUI or LUA). Go to Maintenance page and ensure Fault Diagnostic Mode selected ON. Then click on Reload LUA Engine. You should see a lot more logging displayed. If this fails I recommend you reinstall LINDA 3.2.6 into the P3D v5 add-ons/FSUIPC6 folder Edited January 4, 20215 yr by ScotFlieger Andrew Gransden Scotland, UK LINDA Support/Developer - VATSIM and BAVirtual - Airbus Flyer i7 1TB SSD GTX980 - FSX/P3D - Aerosoft Airbus A318/A319/A320/A321 - FS2Crew

Reinstalled LINDA 3.2.6 into the P3D v5 add-ons/FSUIPC6 folder...didn't fix. I wound up completely uninstalling FSUIPC, running disk and registry cleaners, rebooting then reinstalling FSUIPC and LINDA. So far the tracer is now working, although I've none of my assignments in either FSUIPC or LINDA. I'll cautiously start adding them back. Thanks for the assistance!
