January 6, 20215 yr Today I installed my new 1 TB M.2 SSD and cloned my MSFS drive onto it using Macrium. Renamed the clone as my E drive which was the one MSFS was originally running from and disabled the old drive temporarily. MSFS ran OK until I diabled the old drive, but must have been running from the original drive even though I had renamed it drive F. Had to run a repair in Microsoft store which only took about 15 mins and now all is running OK with my settings and logbook restored. I guess this was probably a digital rights issue, but thought it was worth a mention in case anyone else tries the same thing. Just wondering what will happen when I re-enable the original drive to delete the contents.
