Quite a discovery (at least for me)

I thought I'd pass this along for the less computer literate amongst us.  While struggling with very poor frame rates and stuttering and after reading all in the forums.  I tried most of the suggestions but nothing really helped.  I was stuck at 10-12 FPS, sometimes stuttering would be minimal, sometimes not.  So I resorted to asking my son who does computer coding for advise.  He sat down and examined the settings and used some of the tools mentioned here.  At one point he "fixed" it with FPS of 35-40+ , not bad for i5-6500, 16 GB and GTX1660Ti.  So I was happy.  After he left I started MSFS up again and found it the way he normally plays, full screen with, (and this is key), the atc window or vfr map opened on the main screen.  I have two monitors so I normally run with the windowed screen and pull, vfr map, atc, and view windows over on the other monitor.  Wow, that dropped my FPS down to 10.  Closing them brought it back up to 35-40+.  This may seem like "duh" to some, but it was a revelation to me, it may help someone else.  I don't like to clutter up my main screen so I need to figure out how to either move those windows without the loss or easier access to them.  Anyway, hope this helps someone.

Yup I hope they solve this issue; same goes if you pop out an instrument panel to another monitor!

Hi,

yes, had this problem also as I tried to get the flightplanmap in my cellphone with spacedesk

Spacedesk is working fine, but when I tick the flghtplan to seperate, the frames drop dramatically 😞

Very sad about that.
