February 1, 20215 yr Mods / Admin: I would remove the BijanStudio post that includes a redacted sales receipt containing PII as it may be a breach of GDPR and/or appears to be of PCI-DSS. I'm not jumping into 'compliance mode' to determine that for you but on the surface it appears to be a breach which being published by avsim could be troublesome. Bijan should know better than to post customer PII but obviously does not however his ignorance could possibly result in 'splash damage' to avsim. Not well GDPR versed but PCI and HIPAA which if applied would indicate an issue. Hopefully this prevents any further damage by BS bs posts. Edited February 1, 20215 yr by badgenes misspelling
February 1, 20215 yr There is no disclosure here which isn't already in the public domain. Kelvin has admitted that he bought a copy of Bijan's package on Simmarket, and as a popular commercial developer, people are already familiar with his name. Kelvin is also aware of the post and hasn't raised any explicit objection to it. There is no information breach of otherwise confidential or personal data. The essential data was scrubbed, but it is a fine line.
February 1, 20215 yr Author Very fine. IMHO In the U.S. a post of such by a vendor publicly where the party involved had not given their full name or any other PII such as (especially poorly redacted) and directly involved in a dispute would be beyond the line regardless as the intent in such a situation appears to be intimidation via public disclosure of information (regardless of the author's true intentions) IMHO. However for perspective,I'm just a hired gun (systems architect) who errs on the side of caution for my clientele to ensure they don't stray across the line and invite the OCR or big credit into their business (figurative and literally). I wasn't trying to call ya'll out, on the contrary my modus operandi is 'protect the client' at all times. Glad the row is over and done with although it was reminiscent of avsim.com forums of old LOL. Ah, the good ol days LOL. Too many people get offended now. Which I find offensive....LOL Happy Monday! https://www.trimmnetworks.com Edited February 1, 20215 yr by badgenes grammar
