Flight number without registration or aircraft type

Recommended Posts

Hi Nico,

Like I promised in my message to you, here is my next suggestion for an 'enhancement'.  🙂

Again, pouring over the log PSXT creates so I may add registrations to the 'registrations.xml' so that the right aircraft type comes up, I encountered a wall with one of them.

The log showed the following:

EJA610                     EJA  nul  =d= FTX Cessna 172 Skyhawk N863CP

As you can see, it was a Netjets flight (EJA610), but real traffic had no information on the registration number or an aircraft type, so PSXT substituted a 'default' C172.  Now, this C172 was cruising at FL400!!  😄

My suggestion, could PSXT upon seeing a flight number only (EJA in this instance) substitute an aircraft that matches the airline EJA instead of a generic default substitute?  So instead of some random C172, PSXT would toss in an EJA C56X instead (or any one of the EJA jets).

Available now in version 21.5

You are a machine Nico!  I was just about to hop on a flight...now I can test this version out too!  🙂
