February 8, 20215 yr I had selected the 10600 for my new build but the fairly small price difference with the 10700 makes me hesitate. However I am confused by the specs. The max turbo frequency is the same for both (4.8) but the base freq is higher for the 10600 (3.3) than for the 10700 (2.9). I suspect this might have to do with the number of cores? If so, does it mean that in single core apps the 10600 performs better? I wd be grateful if somebody in the know could explain. Bottom line: which one should I select for MSFS? Does the i7 offer other benefits? and a significant power/heat penalty? Note that I do NOT intend to o/c. Thanks, Philippe
