preferences not saved, have to go thru settings

Featured Replies

Hi All,

Just before the latest update, for some reason I had it in  my mind to start with a clean slate. So I deleted all of MSFS 2020 and did a clean reinstall.

Now every time I start msfs I get the settings/preferences screen and have to go thru them before the sim begins, and none of my original settings are there.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance,

Rich K

Update Gaming Services in MS Store.  It was a bug that rolled out to users at different times.  Updating that should sort you out.

Thanks for the tip, I could not find gaming gaming services in the ms store, so I figured I would uninstall it and then go back to the store, but I couldn't so I reset it and cleared it's cache.

But still no luck.

If you open the Microsoft Store and in the top right click the three dots, then click Downloads and Updates in the drop-down menu, then click Get Updates, you should be back in business.  Report back if that doesn't work and we can troubleshoot further.

Took me an age today, but eventually it will update and the thing is fixed when it does.  Proper pita.
