February 27, 20215 yr P3DV4 WIN 10 G430 was working beautifully thank you but today on startup the 430 screen stayed black after starting engine and turning on Avionics master. Pushed COM/POWER knob but no response. Knobs rotate when clicked. Tried different aircraft. Same result. February 28, 20215 yr Hi, Thank you for providing the log files right away, this helps troubleshooting. In this case the log files aren't showing anything particular. Can you cross check using the GNS in a default aircraft like the Mooney? This will help finding out whether it is a problem with the software or the aircraft configuration. You might want to also change the GNS Power Source setting to something else as it might have been wrongly configured with the aircraft in a way where the power source is off always with this aircraft? March 1, 20215 yr Author Hi, I have installed into the Mooney with power set to always on but the screen remains blank. March 3, 20215 yr Can you post more details about your system? (video card + driver version, OS version/build number) Do you recall any other changes you've made to your system around the time you've also updated the GNS? Do you recall any other changes you've made to P3D4 around the same time? (new add-ons, etc...) In addition, the log files reports you're running P3D4 as-admin. Can you please cross check what is causing this and compare when not running as-admin instead? PS: I'm sorry if these questions seem generic but it is very hard to assessing the nature of the problem with the few information provided for now. It requires cross-checking a certain number of underlying probable causes unfortunately. Edited March 3, 20215 yr by RXP

March 15, 20215 yr Hi, I'm sorry for the delay, we're trying to find the possible cause to this very specific problem on your system, and the information you've provided is not sufficient to assess a probable root cause yet. Can you please try the following: Open the RealityXP.GNS.ini file found in the aircraft folder (C:\Prepar3D\SimObjects\Airplanes\Mooney_Acclaim\) with notepad Add the following line in each [GNS_430_#] sections Save and close the file. Load the simulator and the Mooney. [GNS_430_1] LogTrainer = 1 ... [GNS_430_2] LogTrainer = 1 .... This will add some additional details to the rxpGnsSim.dll.log file which might help us.

March 16, 20215 yr Thank you for the additional info. It is reporting something I can now look into. I'll comment back in this topic once done.
March 16, 20215 yr I'm back! You most likely have either corrupted non volatile memory files, or they are maybe inaccessible from your user account because you've been running "as-admin". Please review the RXP GNS User's Manual "Device Embedded Memory" to locate the relevant file(s). I'd suggest you try renaming the file in appending ".backup" for example. Then load an aircraft with a GNS and it will recreate a new file from scratch. Edited March 16, 20215 yr by RXP
March 17, 20215 yr Author Thank you so much. I renamed the sys_nandc as .backup and it is working properly.
March 17, 20215 yr Thank you for the update! I'm sorry it took this much time resolving. Unfortunately this is the kind of problem which could have many different causes and it requires eliminating them one by one to find out the real culprit. Hopefully, we have included some feedback tooling in our product and user's manuals which are proving helping.
