February 27, 20215 yr I did not know where to place this message in your forums. So if it is not the proper place to put it then you guys put it in the correct area. I run 5 flight sims on my computer. The problem that I am having is when the ATC on all the flight sims comes on I have a reduction in the volumne of my speakers. I believe it started when downloading the Microsoft 202H operating system updates. I am asking if anybody else has had any similar type of problem. The volumen is turned up as far as it can be on my speakers. But when the ATC comes on to let you know info the vol goes down to where you can barley hear it. It only does this on my flight sims when trying to hear the ATC. If any of you have had a similiar problem then let me know what U did to fix it. I am running an ASUS Prime X570-P motherboard. Any info would be helpful. Curbkiller64.
February 27, 20215 yr Administrators Go into your computer's sound folder and look for a checkbox for "Do Nothing". This example is for win7 but applies to win10. If you are using Windows 7, there is a tab in the Sounds options called "Communications". This tab is for setting how Windows adjusts the sound volume for different sounds when you are using your PC to place or receive telephone calls. Even though that doesn't seem to have anything whatsoever to do with FSX, or anything else you might be doing, I have read that some folks have had issues with sound volumes for some games and other applications and have gone in to this tab and set it to the "Do Nothing" option. Apparently that has solved it for them. Charlie AronAVSIM Board of Directors-ADMIN/Moderator-RegistrarJust going to run a Chromebook and not upgrade to a Windows computer.
