March 4, 20215 yr Hello all... I've seen a few posts here about some sort of ghosting or "motionblur"-like effect some users get when panning the camera around. Upon close inspection, I am getting this issue too. Through my testing, it does not seem to be related to any monitor ghosting or refresh rate or anything like that. I can tell that because it shows up in static screenshots, and I haven't seen it in any other games (barring one exception, but that was due to Reshade, which I don't use anymore.) Here's the screenshots I took: In the first image, I was panning the camera towards the top-left, and you can see that there's a ghost image following the baggage carts and the taxi lines. In the second image, I was panning the camera towards the left, and you can see the duplicate really well on the right of the middle EFB buttons, as well as around the pedal area. This is SUPER ANNOYING and very noticeable at night. It also gets worse as the framerate gets lower. I've currently got AA off, FXAA off, Texture Filtering at 16x, and Texture Rez at Medium. I'm also running P3D as admin and with fullscreen optimizations disabled. This is off a fresh install of v5.1.12.26829, with the only installed addons being the 737 NGXu and Skyline Sim's KCVG. Has anyone experienced this issue with this sort of tearing-ghost-image-whatever not related to monitor ghosting? Have you fixed it? How? EDIT: Here's a video. Try pausing it to verify for yourself that it's not a monitor issue. Edited March 4, 20215 yr by ohyeah2389
March 4, 20215 yr Author Don't reply to this. I messed up. Turing on VSync makes it go away completely. Weird, as this doesn't look like any sort of screen tearing I'm used to... Edited March 4, 20215 yr by ohyeah2389
March 4, 20215 yr Try deleting your shaders and a fresh Nvidia driver. It's not related to the textures or the sim because i don't see this effect. I have Gsync with Vsync enabled in the sim with variable refresh rate also. IMO it looks like a gamma tracing problem with your color profile for the monitor. Did you try and recalibrate the monitor as well.

Weird, as this doesn't look like any sort of screen tearing I'm used to... Nvidia changed the driver coding for all the new released drivers from Feb this year. Vsync should be set to on in the NV panel as default now. https://www.guru3d.com/news-story/nvidia-v-sync-off-not-recommended-as-a-global-setting-starting.html

I know what my monitor's blur looks like, and it's not this. I even tried hooking up an old CRT and it looked exactly the same. I don't even have a problem anymore, since turning Vsync on makes it go away. Also, just because you're not experiencing an issue with something, that doesn't mean that said something definitely doesn't have an issue, it just means you aren't having that issue. March 4, 20215 yr Author Deleting the shaders and the p3d.cfg fixed it. Now there's no blur even with Vsync off ingame. Thanks for the suggestion! Edited March 4, 20215 yr by ohyeah2389
