December 20, 200619 yr Is there an advantage to changing the scenery priority in FSX, for example when flying in the north central US, to change that area higher on the list?? Just wondering. There is one in there strictly for Las Vegas, so if I were flying into Las Vegas, would it help to have it higher on the list? Thanks for any inputdanon - -
December 20, 200619 yr No, ot really only cmes into its own with addon scenery, so that you can leyer one on top of another to give the best results, and in any case there appears to be a problem with the scenery engine that might impact on the stability of any such testing. At this point, don't mess with it, except to say that you can move scenery folders around onto separate hard drives to see if you can improve read times in areas you fly in most. You only have to move the folders, then change the scenery.cfg to point to the new address for the selected folders, to give an approximation of a coincident head read a la RAID. Allcott
