April 12, 20215 yr Don't try it at home folks, it's soldered. Seems the solder TIM is very thickly applied, so much so that De8auer managed to knock 12 degrees off the temp. That's the sort of temp drop we see when delidding a CPU with a paste TIM between die and IHS. Silly Intel, applied as a huge gob of solder. May as well have used paste if you are going to do that.
