Waypoints Reality GTN-750 X-Plane (resolved)

Featured Replies

Hello,

I have the Reality GTN-750 for X-plane and all is good I think. When I create a flight plan in Littlenavmap and import and activate in the GTN750 I notice that the waypoints I used in Littlenavmap are named USRxxx instead of the name that is in Littlenavmap, EG (JOVAD would be USRxxx). The Departure and Arrival airports are OK.  Is that the way it should be??

Thanks

Can you provide some examples of the waypoints in question?  The USR may be an indication that the GTN is picking them up as "user defined waypoints."  Transferring or Importing flight plans into these Reality XP gauges is based on rules defined in the underlying Garmin GTN Trainer.  In other words the Garmin Trainer screens the waypoints in the flight plan file based on rules Garmin wrote into the trainer.  The Garmin Trainer is the engine so to speak in the Reality XP GTN.

You might also ask this question over in the Littlenavmap forum here on Avsim.  The LNM developer is quite responsive there.

To post a photo or screen capture here you need to establish an image storage at an internet image storage site such as Smugmug, Flickr, or others. You upload your images to that site and then use links to those images to post here using the "links" feature in the message posting toolbar. In the toolbar it looks like this:

OK,

In Littlenavmap under "File", "Multiexport Flightplan Options" there are 2 options for the RealityXP GTN 750

1. RealityXP GTN 750/650 Touch, with this one checked, the waypoints names will be exported as named in LIttlenavmap (will show up in the GTN750)

2. RealityXP GTN 750/650 Touch with user defined waypoints, with this one checked, the waypoints will be exported named USR001 etc. That is in case your AIRAC cycle is out of date on a stored Flightplan and an waypoint that may not be in the new AIRAC will be locked (I think that the waypoint won't be shown in the Flightplan) I tried both settings and that is what happens. I say the RealityXP GTN 750 is an awsome addition to your aircraft.

Happy Flying
