Virtual Cockpit Shadow

Featured Replies

Just out of curiousity, are you able to see the aircraft shadows in the virtual cockpit in FSX? Like wing shadows? didn't know if that was a new feature. If it isn't, someone who is extremely computer literate should make it so you can see them.

self shadows-they are on the external models, but not in the VC.That is actually a very computationally expensive problem, and I think most people would rather have the framerates. I bet in the next version we will see it. I think the current line up of high-end cards could handle it, but it would just be something else to make those less fortunate feel disappointed about FSXs performance. Also, unfortuantely, the graphics engine would have to written to include them, so unless ACES decides to include it in a patch, it won't happen. It's not like you can just add them to the models or something.

However, the "self-shadowing" of a/c parts on other a/c parts, no...
