Game freezes

Featured Replies

Has anyone had a problem with FSX where the game will pause and after a bit you here a loud buzzing sound and the game would continue. I have noticed this a lot when there are heavy clouds. it does not do it all the time. I have updated my sound drivers but it still dfoes it. Could it be the drivers I am using with my video card.Fredhp Pentium D nvidia 7600 gt OC 256 pci express2 gig hard drivedual core 2.8 processors

Have you run the DirectX Diagnostic Tool (start>run>dxdiag>) to make sure there are no errors shown for your sound and video cards? Individuals who have had this problem have lowered the sound card acceleration by moving the slider to the left on the sound tab in the DirectX Diagnostic Tool. I recall having this problem too with FS9 and think I fixed it by returning my Virtual Memory (Page file)back to System Managed Size. You might also check out your system Event Viewer and see if there are any error messages written about the time your game froze. Hope this helps.Best regards,Jim
