September 27, 20223 yr Fabtastic shot Jon, the pylons holding the radome look incredibly fragile head on
September 26, 20232 yr In a previous life I had the good fortune to secure an exercise flight in an E3-D in Cold Lake, Canada. It was an awesome flight with Combat Air Patrol (protecting the E3-D (High Value Asset or HVA) which were directed by the guy I was sitting next to onto some 'red' guys coming at us! The adrenalin rush stayed with me for the rest of the day!! There is a chance the radome will shear off in such a case but apparently it is designed for that eventuality. Great photo @jonf45 . Cheers Terry No. No, Mav, this is not a good idea. Sorry Goose, but it's time to buzz the tower!
