May 21, 20215 yr Hello all I'm new to this forum and hope the question I'm about to ask is on the right forum page. I flew FS 2004 quite a bit in the day and have just returned to flight sim via FS2020. The question I ask is how do I or indeed can I display quick shortcuts for the GPS, Kneeboard, ATC window, Radio Stack, Throttle quadrant and compass onto the screen? On the FS2004 flight decks for the 737 and indeed many other aircraft there were seven icons placed just above the attitude indicator and altimeter which when clicked gave instant shots of the displays I've mentioned above. I found these features of immense use as they gave immediate information without the need to search elsewhere in the cockpit. Also on FS2004 you also had the facility to place in the left hand upper part of the screen and written in red lettering useful info such as Alt, HDG, KIAS, WIND speed and direction, fuel load, G level Long/Lat and Frame per Second rate. Many thanks all and for any useful tips you may provide.

May 21, 20215 yr Welcome to Avsim. 🙂 With regard to the old FS2004 option to quickly display lat, long, speed, alt, heading etc. Yes, this is sorely missed by many in MSFS, however, by default as you know, MSFS displays a bit of a GUI on the external view which is a bit like the same thing (first thing I did in MSFS was turn all that stuff off though because I don't like it). The shortcuts for displaying most of the things you list (ATC window, Radio etc) are there when you move your mouse up to the top of the screen. Beyond this, you may have to assign some things you want in the MSFS controller options, to either a keyboard shortcut or a controller button press. It's different to FS2004, but it's not too hard to get used to the differences. Play about with the options and you'll find it is actually quite a nice and intuitive interface in MSFS.
