White-Out ?

Featured Replies

Anyone suffering from a complete screen white-out in FSX? This looks rather like the old FS9 trouble when you were positioned (view) in the slipstream of dust/smoke. I get it in all views when flying the Pilatus Porter from FDS (smoke system either on or off does not make any difference. Yup I do have latest video drivers. Thanks - Dave

yes i had that same problem also , i believe i corrected it by unchecking the reflective lites or somthing like that, its right above the light blooms.i would be looking at my plane on the ground and all of a sudden the whole screen would go white on me, i would flip to another screen and it would go back to normal and then with out notice it goes white again.so i unchecked the light reflection and i have not had anymore trouble so far.im not for sure if that solves the problem but it did stop after that . You know its been a long time since i had software this powerful that makes you really work to enjoy it.hope this helps...........Robert

Thanks guys - I have turned off the reflections and will report back after the next trial flight Cold Bay to Sand point....

Problem solved by switching off the aircraft reflections. Now I wonder if MS will correct this apparent fault in their programming in the form of a patch for FSX?.
