Controlling LVARS form within the sim?

I think I have this down, but want to make sure I'm not missing anything.  I'd love to have a way of assigning controller functions to LVARS like in FSUIPC back in P3D/FSX...i.e. a module that loads within the sim itself.  No need to run any other program or .exe beyond the sim itself.

So far all I'm finding are FSUIPC7, AAO, and Spad.next that all require starting and running a program outside of MSFS itself.  Is there anything I'm missing. 

After becoming extremely tired of P3D reinstalls, I've really hoped to make MSFS a simple simulator with minimum outside input.  So far, if I can't download it through the marketplace or Orbx Central, I don't want the hassle of trying to install (or more importantly reinstall) the add-on.
