runtime error 75

Recommended Posts

Fresh install of FSX on Win10. Latest Radar Contact. Latest FSUIPC.  As soon as I ask for WxBrf (ATIS) I get a runtime error 75 from Radar Contact.  RadarContact.fsuipc.rcv4code. No results searching for either the runtime error or the rcv4code strings here.

Any ideas?

Thanks,

Ed

First thing is are you running in Administrator mode? It is essential for correct operation of RC.

Secondly, is RC installed outside of Program Files ?

Lastly, here is what you were looking for:

Error 75 is path/file access error. Read Ron's advice here and also check you have the latest version of FSUIPC.

Have you told RC4 where the folder is for flight plans? If it doesn't know it throws that error.

Turns out it was not running as Admin. All other suggestions were already accomplished (paths and such). As soon as I read the http://www.avsim.com/topic/482724-run-time-error-75/#entry3365818 post I realized that it was probably a write error for lack of permission. Admin mode fixed that.

I have other issues, but will ask in another post as needed.

Thanks,

Ed

@Ed Greenberg, you can set RC to run in admin mode by right-clicking the shortcut, select Properties, Advanced and select the Admin option.
