June 28, 20214 yr I just did a complete reinstall of Windows 10. I installed P3D 4.5 and the appropriate fsuipc module. Opened P3D to set up my controllers and the only option it see's is mouse in the drop down. The controllers ARE recognized in windows. Even fsuipc isn't connecting them to the sim. How would I fix this. Did topic search on google and my exact problem can't be found. Is the a P3d cfg entry to edit?. I had P3d v4 installed before this on my HDD and it DID recognize my controllers out of the box. Could it be a corrupted download? Help.
June 28, 20214 yr Moderator @Gary1124, if Windows can see them then FSUIPC can. Disable controllers in P3D and start in FSUIPC by assigning an axis. I’m assuming you’re familiar with the procedure. Also check the files generated in the FSUIPC folder after exiting P3D. There should be a csv file that shows what FSUIPC has recognised. Check you have the latest version of FSUIPC too. June 29, 20214 yr Moderator @Gary1124, you don’t need the CH software. The standard Windows drivers are sufficient. Ray (Cheshire, England). June 29, 20214 yr Author I downloaded both dx12 and CH software. One or the other worked as now P3D see the controllers. I forgot that when I initially installed P3D it was to an updated mature win 10 install. I only started from scratch to eliminate annoying atioglxx crashes errors. I am not going to be updating ati drivers now.

It will be the DX12 drivers although I would have expected them to be included with Windows. CH drivers are only needed for games where you want to switch modes. No such requirement for P3D.
