FSX was released towards the end of the year and most of us (i suspect) have the current date set in the FS settings. This means that we have always been looking at the more duller, uglier textures (as you would expect) of winter. I changed the season to summer and the sim looks terrific. Its stunning. I notice a hit on frame rates though. However the grass at the airports looks a lovely shade of green and doesnt look like sand.Give it a try (not when you are using real weather and flying somewhere in the northern hemisphere when its -12c).

Yeah, that's pretty much what I do everytime I fly. It's too bad. Fall used to be such a cool time to fly in FS. But not with those ugly brown textures airport textures, etc.. The grass around here is still green (MA), and we are smack dab in the middle of winter. Why would anybody think the ground turns brown? Perhaps a little muddier in spots, but those fall/winter textures are ugly ugly.Thomas[a href=http://www.flyingscool.com] http://www.flyingscool.com/images/Signature.jpg [/a]I like using VC's :-)N15802 KASH '73 Piper Cherokee Challenger 180
