July 5, 20214 yr this is odd. I can bring up the ATC window by using the "tilde"key on the far upper left side of my keyboard. However, once with the window is open, I cannot make any selections from a numbered list...I have to click one of the numbered lines in the atc box with my mouse. Do any of you have some information to help me solve this one? Thanks. Sherm
July 5, 20214 yr Is the ATC menu undocked? Are you using the HTML5 menus or the original Scaleform menus? If HTML5 and it's undocked, that's a known issue, the menu itself has to have the focus and you only get that by clicking on it. If Scaleform, then it ought to work provided the P3D main window has the focus. If some other program has the focus then it won't work with Scaleform either, and again, clicking on the menu gives P3D the focus. July 5, 20214 yr Author Hi Neil, Sorry, I do not understand what you mean about the two different menus. I do make sure that my cursor has made P3D active when I go back and forth from it to LNM on my second monitor. BTW, i found your post on this issue in the P3D forum...sadly, much of that discussion is beyond my pay grade....but a writer named 737SimGuy posted a solution by editing the missionpanels.cfg menu. Do you think I should try that? Sherm
July 5, 20214 yr There have been two different menu systems in P3D since v5. One is the traditional menu system based on a technology called Scaleform. One is the new menu system based on HTML 5 (basically, the technology used to build Web pages). In (I think) v5.0, the HTML versions of the ATC menu and the Simconnect menu were made the default, while the other menus remained as Scaleform. That was when I had the problem that I posted about on the LM forum. 737SimGuy's workaround allowed me to re-enable the Scaleform versions of the ATC and Simconnect menu, basically going back to the way it was in P3D 4.5, which fixed the problem for me. Then, in P3D 5.2, LM made the HTML versions of the main menu bar and the 'infotext' for things like FPS etc the default, and turned off the Scaleform menus altogether. By this point I had implemented a different workaround, so this wasn't a problem for me, except that there were major bugs around the HTML5 interface and users reported lots of crashes. So in HF1 for P3D 5.2, LM reverted to the situation in v5.0 where only the ATC and Simconnect menus are HTML by default. So that's the two menu systems; what you have now will depend on what version of P3D you are running. Which version *are* you running? If it's 5.2 HF1, then you can try the 737SimGuy trick and see if that helps. Beyond that, if there are other reasons for this happening, I'm not aware of them. Someone else might be able to comment, though. Temporary sim: 9700K @ 5GHz, 2TB NVMe SSD, RTX 3080Ti, MSFS + SPAD.NeXT
July 6, 20214 yr Author Thanks again, Neil...actually, when I rebooted the sim this morning, the keyboard issue disappeared and is working in tandem with ATC. Sherm

I've had that happen too - keyboard gets 'stuck' and the menu won't respond until you restart the sim. Temporary sim: 9700K @ 5GHz, 2TB NVMe SSD, RTX 3080Ti, MSFS + SPAD.NeXT
